"I wanted to create a wide landscape in which spontaneous and natural relationship is taking place between the city, the work of art and local people. "

Comment as-tu choisi Evry ? et pourquoi cette sculpture de SINGER ?

I had in mind a specific idea like in many of my personal projects. I new that I wanted to create a kind of collaboration with the local people. I wanted to create a wide landscape in which spontaneous and natural relationship is taking place between the city, the work of art and local people.

Le Deambulatoire in the heart of quartier de pyramid was perfect for this kind of work. I was fascinated by the architecture of this quartier as well as by the rich mix of population and the variety of cultures it brings with it.

C'est la première fois que tu venais à Evry ?

Quelle impression t'as faite cette sculpture bleue ? sa taille ? son état ?

I came to Evry for the first time especially to see "Le Deambulatoire".

When I arrived I got lost in the path of the quartier de la pyramide. After some time I saw the sculpture from a few hundred meters away. first I thought it was some kind of ruins or a monument from an ancient culture, I couldn't really tell what it was and I still can't. This "big blue thing" as it's known by the locals, was a bit of a mystery for me, and I guess that's how it's going to stay in my mind.
